OUR BREEDER BACKGROUND
Chrissy and Kevin Buchler's passion for Wirehaired Pointing Griffons began with their beloved first Griffon, Zoey. Not only did Zoey captivate them with her intelligence, loyalty, and versatility, but she also became Chrissy’s steadfast service dog during her battle with Stage 3b lung cancer. Through the most challenging times of Chrissy’s treatment and recovery, Zoey was a constant source of strength and companionship, proving the deep bond that Griffons can offer. Inspired by the incredible impact Zoey had on their lives, Chrissy and Kevin embarked on a heartfelt mission to share this remarkable breed with others.
Today, they are one of Michigan’s few trusted breeders of Wirehaired Pointing Griffons, fully committed to raising dogs that embody the breed’s best qualities. Every Griffon they raise reflects their dedication, care, and deep respect for the breed’s heritage. Chrissy and Kevin take immense pride in helping families and hunting enthusiasts alike experience the joy, loyalty, and resilience that only a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon can bring.
BREEDER PHILOSOPHY
At our kennel, we prioritize the health, temperament, and preservation of the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon breed. Chrissy and Kevin follow strict breeding standards, ensuring that each pairing is carefully planned to produce healthy, well-balanced puppies with excellent lineage. All of our breeding dogs undergo comprehensive health testing to safeguard against hereditary conditions and to support the longevity of the breed.
